Drop-Off Station compost availability
Please call the Drop-Off Station at (734) 971-7400 if you would like to purchase compost, to check on availability and price. The City of Ann Arbor, which supplies compost to the Drop-Off Station, is out of compost until the fall. Recycle Ann Arbor is currently working with alternative suppliers to offer compost on a regular basis. However, price and availability may vary.

FREE Shredding Events May 22 and October 2
Recycle Ann Arbor will offer two, free secure document shredding events in 2010. Both events are open to all residents and businesses in Wasthenaw County, and are being co-sponsored by Allshred Services. There is a 100-pound limit for all customers. Click here for more information.

Drop-Off Station announces new entry fee
The Drop-Off Station began charging a $3.00 per vehicle entry fee on January 2, 2010. The entry fee is necessary to ensure the continuing operation of the the Drop-Off Station, following the end of funding support from Washtenaw County, the City of Ann Arbor, and Pittsfield Township. Customers may save with discounted multiple-use punch cards or unlimited yearly passes. Click here for more information.

Drop-Off Station to close Mondays beginning November 2
The Drop-Off Station will change to winter hours of operation beginning the week of November 2. The Drop-Off Station will be closed on Monday, open Tuesday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Wednesday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Click here for more information.

News: Rechargeable battery ends must be taped
To meet new U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) standards, the positive ends of rechargeable batteries must be taped with clear tape and stored in a plastic bag. This includes rechargeable batteries recycled at the curb in the City of Ann Arbor, or at the Drop-Off Station. Click here for more information.

Recycle Ann Arbor operates Washtenaw County's most comprehensive regional Drop-Off Station (DOS) serving the Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County area. Open to the general public, the DOS is a fully staffed facility open six days a week year round.
