Recycle Ann Arbor is pleased to announce the expansion of the
home energy assessments program!
Description
Are you interested in making improvements to increase the energy efficiency of your home but are unsure about which might be the most cost effective? Having an energy assessment performed on your home will answer these questions and more.
A qualified Energy Professional will analyze your home’s current energy usage and evaluate a broad range of energy conservation measures. A personalized report will be issued that outlines strategic energy conservation measures organized by anticipated payback. It will also include current incentives and rebates, as well as a list of local qualified contractors who are able to help implement the recommended improvements. Currently, this service is limited to single-family homes in Washtenaw County.
Payment
The cost of your home energy assessment is $399 for homes with up to 3,000 square feet of conditioned space, which includes the basement. Homes outside of this range will be quoted on a case-by-case basis. Payment will be collected at the time of the onsite assessment, and can be made through personal check or credit card. Your completed report will be sent in either a hard copy or a digital (.pdf) file within 5-7 business days of your onsite assessment.
Currently, DTE Energy offers a rebate and incentive program to help offset the cost of a home energy assessment. More information is available at www.yourenergysavings.com
