The Environmental House occassionally conducts or sponsors research projects
on issues that effect the local community. Click on the links below to

The
Energy Star Report
The Energy Star label denotes a product as being at 
the
top of its class for energy efficiency. Only products that meet the U.S.
Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency standards
for energy efficiency qualify for the Energy Star. Consumers save money
with Energy Star products because they use less enery than conventional
products and cost less to operate. The Energy Star is found on a wide
variety of products ranging from electronics and appliances, to windows,
and even new houses! Recycle Ann Arbor has teamed up with the Michigan
Department of Consumer and Industry Services to locate Energy Star retailers
and test consumer awareness in Ann Arbor.
