Township Recycling Events
Recycle Ann Arbor
operates two recycling events for Scio Township and Lodi Township residents. Below is a list of what's accepted at each. To recycle items
not shown on this list, take them to our Drop Off Station.

Place
in paper bins:
MAGAZINES, PAPERBACKS, CATALOGS, PHONE BOOKS HOME, SCHOOL and OFFICE PAPER,
"JUNK MAIL" and ENVELOPES
Includes
all colored paper, file folders and blueprints
Crayon marks and staples are OK
Remove metal and plastic binders
NEWSPAPERS,
BOX BOARD
Cereal
and tissue-type boxes
Empty, flatten and stuff inside a paper bag or box
No freezer food boxes
CORRUGATED
CARDBOARD
Remove
and discard all stuffing
Flatten and cut or fold into 2' x 3'
Tape or tie into 6" bundles
Staples and tape are OK
Place
in containers bins:
MILK CARTONS, JUICE BOXES
Remove
and discard straws
GLASS, CERAMICS
Remove
all lids
Mugs, plates, terra cotta, drinking glasses, pyrex, glass bottles and jars
METALS
Steel and
aluminum cans, foil, metal jar lids, pots, pans, utensils, empty aerosol
cans, scrap metal up to 1 cubic foot, 20 lbs.
Teflon coatings and plastic handles are OK
No electrical appliances
PLASTIC
BOTTLES MARKED #1 or #2 ON BOTTOM
Milk jugs
and water bottles, laundry and& shampoo bottles
BOTTLES ONLY
Do not recycle bottles that have held a toxic material, such as motor
oil.
Do
NOT recycle ANY plastic other than bottles #1 & #2 Please,
no food trays, bottle caps, margarine tubs, or yogurt cartons, even if they are marked 1 or 2.
