What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Art supplies

Art supplies, such as paintbrushes, canvases, crayons, markers, chalk, stencils etc. that are gently used and in good usable condition are often accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network.

Recycle Right!

Do not put art supplies other than uncoated paper in your curbside recycling cart. Paintbrushes, crayons, markers, canvas, glitter, etc., are not recyclable and can damage equipment and contaminate other recyclables, turning them into trash instead of being recycled.

Choose Zero Waste!

Squeeze out small amounts of paint at a time to ensure you use it all, use cloths instead of paper towels, and consider reusing canvases by painting over them.

Check with the SCRAP Box to see what types of art supplies they are currently accepting.

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
