Drop-Off Station

About

Important Update: Starting August 28th, the Drop-Off Station will no longer accept concrete for recycling. Concrete will continue to be accepted for recycling at the Recovery Yard.

The Drop-Off Station is your one-stop location for all your recycling and safe waste disposal needs, an environmentally preferable alternative to landfilling or illegal dumping. Serving residents and businesses located in Washtenaw County and beyond, the Drop-Off Station provides convenient and accessible recycling services for hard-to-recycle materials such as electronics (e-waste), textiles, plastic bags, freon appliances, lightbulbs, batteries, tires, and expanded recycling for single-stream and metal.

Operated by Recycle Ann Arbor, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Drop-Off Station is almost entirely supported by the fees paid by site users to maintain the services provided. We appreciate your support!

All customers using the waste and recycling services at the Drop-Off Station are required to pay the gate fee; additional fees on materials will apply depending upon the services being used. See the price list for full details.

SEASONAL NOTICE: During the winter season, the following items cannot be accepted after 5:00 pm due to lighting and safety concerns:

  • Scrap metal
  • General waste
  • Bulky waste
  • Furniture
  • Yard waste

Staff are unable to unload materials from vehicles. If you are in need of assistance to unload your materials, please come prepared.

Drop-Off Station Gate Fees

We provide different payment options based on how often you use our service. For occasional users, we offer one-day rates where you pay the gate fee just once per day. However, if you are a regular and frequent customer, we recommend purchasing either a ten-visit punch pass or an annual pass. Please note that these passes only cover the gate fee; additional fees may apply depending on the materials you have, and these fees must be paid at the gatehouse before entry. The annual pass gives customers a 5% discount on their general waste fees throughout the year. Credit Card transactions only. No cash or checks.
