What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Expanded Polystyrene Foam, breakable

Breakable expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam is accepted for recycling at the Drop-Off Station. Accepted expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam is rigid, breakable foam like computer and tv packaging, coolers, trays and food containers. Materials must be clean, dry, and free of food, grease, and dirt to be accepted. Small polystyrene pieces like packing peanuts and foam cups are not accepted at the Drop-Off Station due to the size and thinness of the material.

Recycle Right!

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Foam is problematic and can sit in a landfill for years. Instead of throwing it away, take it to the Drop-Off Station for recycling. Do not put expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam of any form in your curbside recycling cart. It can cause major problems at the sorting facility and can jam up the machinery, causing damage and delays and creating unsafe conditions for our workers.
