Recycle Ann Arbor only accepts items that can be authentically recycled. When in doubt, throw it out, as items that can't be recycled will contaminate the recycling stream. Appliances, Freon
Appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, and dehumidifiers that contain freon are accepted for recycling at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard. To recycle these items, the freon must be safely drained and disposed of before recycling the other materials. Due to the specialized care required for recycling, there is an additional fee of $28 per freon appliance. It is not necessary to remove the doors from refrigerators and freezers before recycling.Accepted at:
