What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Bicycles, bicycle parts

Bicycles, tricycles, and bike parts that are gently used, clean, and in good usable condition, are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. Bikes and bicycle parts that are broken and beyond repair are accepted for recycling as scrap metal at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard. Bicycle tires and tubes are not recyclable but are accepted for safe disposal as general waste.

Recycle Right!

Do not put bike parts and other scrap metal in curbside recycling carts. These large and irregular pieces of metal can jam up the machinery, causing damage and delays and creating unsafe conditions for our workers. Make sure bikes are clean and in working order before donating.

Choose Zero Waste!

Consider repair and/or tune-ups before donating and buying new. Common Cycle provides access to community tools, workspace, knowledge, and help from volunteers.

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
