What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Cameras

Digital, polaroid, film, and video cameras that are gently used and in good usable condition are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse NetworkCameras that are broken and not repairable are accepted for recycling as e-waste at the Drop-Off Station.

Recycle Right!

Do not put cameras in your curbside recycling cart or trash. Electronics are made up of various materials such as glass, plastic, and metal, and often contain hazardous materials. Electronics must be collected separately to ensure proper disassembly and recycling of their component parts.

Choose Zero Waste!

Try to repair your broken camera before replacing it. Repair services and resources are available in and around Washtenaw County, such as All Hands Active. Donating unwanted but useable electronics is the best way to ensure they get reused!

Other Places Cameras are Accepted for Recycling:

  1. Staples accepts electronic devices for recycling at in-store drop-offs locations
  2. Best Buy accepts many different electronics for recycling at in-store drop-off locations
  3. Canon accepts Canon products for recycling, besides batteries and projector lamps
  4. Samsung offers a take-back program for all Samsung products
  5. Sony accepts old Sony devices for their take-back program
