What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Furniture

Living room, bedroom, office, and kitchen/dining room furniture that are gently used, clean, and in good usable condition are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. Before donating, make sure your items are clean and free of damage, such as rips, tears, breaks, and animal hair, to ensure acceptance. Furniture that is broken and in poor, unusable condition is not recyclable but is accepted for safe disposal at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard as general waste. Steel/metal furniture is accepted as scrap metal for recycling at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard.

Choose Zero Waste!

Try to repair, refurbish, or repurpose furniture first and find another use for them in your home, if not possible, donating usable unwanted furniture instead of throwing them away or recycling them is the best way to ensure they get reused!

Accepted locally for donation at:

  1. House N2 Home accepts gently used furniture and household items
  2. Kiwanis Thrift Sale accepts gently used furniture and household items

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
