What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Christmas Lights

Christmas lights/string lights that are gently used and in good usable condition, are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. Christmas lights/string lights that are broken and not repairable are accepted for recycling as e-waste at the Drop-Off Station.

Recycle Right!

Do not put Christmas/string lights in your curbside recycling cart. String lights are considered tanglers and can jam up the machinery, causing damage and delays, and create unsafe conditions for our workers.

Choose Zero Waste!

Try to repurpose these items in your home, if not possible, donating unwanted but still usable items instead of throwing them away is the best way to ensure they get reused! String lights typically come with extra bulbs, and you can also purchase replacement bulbs separately.

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
