What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Audio equipment, not working

Any audio equipment (CD players, tape recorders, microphones, amplifiers, etc.) that does not work can be taken to the Drop-Off Station.

Recycle Right!

No audio equipment should be placed in the curbside bins. Audio equipment is made up of many different types of materials, and therefore must be collected separately for proper disassembly and recycling of the component parts.

Live Zero Waste!

Always try to repair old audio equipment before getting rid of it.

Other Places These are Accepted:

  1. RadioShack accepts many types of audio equipment for recycling, call ahead or check their website to see if your product is recyclable here
  2. Staples accepts audio equipment and CD players for recycling at their in-store drop-off locations

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
