Starting a Recycling Program

This presentation, primarily for businesses or housing complexes, teaches participants how to set up (or refine) a recycling program, including placing recycling carts (indoor/outdoor) to make recycling easy and convenient; how to select a recycling coordinator; and how to promote and encourage recycling. Also included is a thorough explanation of Ann Arbor’s recycling guidelines, as well as a question-and-answer session for all of your recycling questions.

Recycling 101

Ever wonder why communities vary on what they accept for curbside recycling? Or where your recyclables go after they leave the curb? This presentation will explain what happens to recyclables after they leave the curb, provide information about what to do with hard to recycle items like electronics, and give participants an understanding of the significant positive impact that recycling has on conserving resources and our environment.
