What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Ceiling fans

Ceiling fans, box fans, portable fans, and similar are made with a variety of materials, including rigid, bulky plastic and therefore are not recyclable but are accepted for safe disposal at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard as general waste. High-velocity type fans that are made of at least 60% metal and no longer unusable, are accepted as scrap metal for recycling at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard. Remove all light bulbs prior to disposal.

Recycle Right!

Metal fans are not accepted in curbside recycling carts but can be recycled as scrap metal. Metal can be infinitely recycled without losing quality, please don't throw metal items in the trash, recycle them instead.
