What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Doors

Broken, unusable metal and aluminum doors are accepted as scrap metal for recycling at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard. Wood & plastic doors are not recyclable but are accepted for safe disposal as general waste. Doors of any materials that are in good, reusable condition are accepted for donation at Habitat for Humanity Restore (no hollow slab or bi-fold doors).

Recycle Right!

Do not put doors in your curbside recycling cart as they can damage equipment and create unsafe conditions for our workers.

Choose Zero Waste!

Choose doors made of high-quality materials for greater durability. Consider repairing your door before deciding to replace it. Donating unwanted doors ensures that they will be reused. Avoid plastic whenever possible.
