What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Pizza Box

Pizza boxes are accepted for recycling in curbside recycling carts and at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard. Before recycling, please remove any food waste. Pizza boxes can also be composted in your home compost.

Recycle Right!

Before recycling, please remove the liner, which is usually the greasiest part, and dispose of it in the trash. Ensure that all food waste is removed from the box; no pizza slices, crusts, cheese, or any other remnants should be left inside. Flatten the clean, empty cardboard pizza box. All cardboard must fit loosely inside the cart with the lid closed, and the lid may not be secured shut. Recycling is the preferred method, but cardboard can be composted.
