Volunteer for Zero Waste at Taste of Ann Arbor

Taste of Ann Arbor is an annual Ann Arbor community event featuring 40 local restaurants offering visitors bite size, and some not so bite size, tastes of what they do best. This year’s event will be Sunday, June 3rd in Downtown Ann Arbor along Main Street. 

Last year we piloted Zero Waste at Taste of Ann Arbor and were able to divert 1/3 of the waste away from the landfill thanks to volunteers like you. Help us reach a goal of diverting ½ of the event waste from landfill this year!

During the event, volunteers will educate patrons and assist them in sorting waste at the three-bin Zero Waste stations to maximize the amount of materials placed into the correct receptacles for compost, recyclables, or trash. Most importantly we want volunteers to HAVE FUN!

Volunteer Shift Times:

• 11am – 2pm 

• 2pm – 5pm (6pm if you can stay to help clean-up!)

As a volunteer, you will receive free food at the event to thank you for your help!
