What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Asphalt shingles

Asphalt shingles are not recyclable but are accepted for safe waste disposal at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard. New asphalt shingles in bundles that are in good usable condition and have not already been used on a roof are accepted for donation at Habitat for Humanity Restore.

Recycle Right!

Asphalt shingles can only be used once, so they must be properly disposed of once removed. New asphalt shingles should not be thrown away. If they have not been used yet, they can be resold.

Choose Zero Waste!

Choose alternatives to asphalt shingles that are more environmentally friendly, such as metal shingles and solar tiles.
