Power has been restored, and the Drop-Off Station is OPEN Saturday, September 5. All divisions of RAA will be closed on Monday, September 7th, to observe the Labor Day holiday. There will be no Curbside Pick-Up recycling collection on this day. Curbside pick-up will be shifted by one day and run Tuesday through Saturday.

Car batteries

Lead-acid car batteries are accepted for recycling at the Drop-Off Station if undamaged. A damaged battery is defined as bloated, leaking, corrosion on terminals, or dented. To prevent fires, please tape the ends/terminals of each battery before recycling them. Washtenaw County's Home Toxics will take undamaged and damaged batteries. Before taking them in, you must contact Washtenaw Home Toxics for proper packaging requirements. Do not put batteries of any kind in your curbside recycling cart.
