What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Fire extinguishers

Fire extinguishers are accepted for recycling at the Drop-Off Station and Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site. Fire extinguishers accepted at the Drop-Off Station must be empty.

Recycle Right!

Do not put old fire extinguishers in curbside recycling carts, they need to be safely and properly disposed of. Fire extinguishers must be empty before dropping them off at the Drop-Off Station.

Choose Zero Waste!

Always follow storage instructions to safely store fire extinguishers.
