Power has been restored, and the Drop-Off Station is OPEN Saturday, September 5. All divisions of RAA will be closed on Monday, September 7th, to observe the Labor Day holiday. There will be no Curbside Pick-Up recycling collection on this day. Curbside pick-up will be shifted by one day and run Tuesday through Saturday.

Paint thinners and removers
Paint thinners and removers are considered hazardous materials and are accepted at Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site for proper disposal.
Recycle Right!
Never put paint thinners/removers down sink or sewer drains. Do NOT put paint thinners/removers or paint thinner/remover containers in your curbside recycling cart as it is extremely dangerous and flammable. The hazardous chemicals create dangerous conditions for our workers and could contaminate an entire load of recyclables, turning them into trash and not recycled. Dispose of paint thinners/removers safely at the Washtenaw County Home Toxics site.
Choose Zero Waste!
You don’t have to dispose of paint thinners after using them just once! Instead, you can soak the brushes in the thinner, allowing the dirty solvent to sit overnight. By morning, all the sediment will settle at the bottom. You can then carefully pour the clean paint thinner into a different jar and seal it for future use. Always follow the storage instructions to safely and correctly store paint thinners and removers to avoid wastage of any product.
