Power has been restored, and the Drop-Off Station is OPEN Saturday, September 5. All divisions of RAA will be closed on Monday, September 7th, to observe the Labor Day holiday. There will be no Curbside Pick-Up recycling collection on this day. Curbside pick-up will be shifted by one day and run Tuesday through Saturday.
Wire hangers are accepted for recycling as scrap metal at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard. Wire hangers that have plastic clips are accepted if the hanger is made mostly out of metal.
Recycle Right!
Do not put wire hangers in curbside recycling carts. They can jam up the machinery, causing damage and delays and creating unsafe conditions for our workers.
Choose Zero Waste!
Wire hangers are reusable. Choose longer-lasting types of hangers, like wood.
