What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Mirrors, mirror glass

Mirrors and mirror glass that are gently used, clean, and in good usable condition are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. Mirror glass is not recyclable. Mirror glass in poor, unusable condition is accepted as general waste at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard for safe disposal.

Recycle Right!

Do not put mirror glass, broken or otherwise in your curbside recycling cart. Mirror glass is not recyclable because it is made of a different type of glass than food jars and bottles and melt at different temperatures. If such glass is mixed with recyclable glass, it will contaminate it. Mirror glass can be dangerous. If donating or disposing, pack it safely to ensure it will not be able to cut you or our staff at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Choose Zero Waste!

Try to repurpose mirror glass in your home, if not possible, donating unwanted but still usable items instead of throwing them away is the best way to ensure they get reused! Broken glass can be repurposed into art!
